Working with the local conservation office, cub scouts from 107 and boy scouts from troop 463 planted 50 trees as part of a conservation project. The boys learned the importance of planting new trees and why certain kinds of trees are better for soil erosion and for wildlife. This activity fulfills one of the requirements for the cub scout world conservation award. |

On February 15th, 21 cub scouts and 16 Boy Scouts raced in our annual Pinewood Derby Race. To start things off the scouts voted and picked Ben Fisk's car as the winner for Best Design. We begin racing with the non-cub scouts first. In first place we had Addie McCluskey and in second we had Kiasia Turner. For our main event we had a great race. The top spot went to Darwin McCluskey for the third year in a row. Second went to Ben Fisk and third went to Ryan Carpenter. |
